Lost and Found

The West Texas A&M University Police Department is the central depository for all lost and found property on the WTAMU campus. This was established by WTAMU Rule No. 21.99.04.W1 in 1998. 

The WTAMU Police Department is committed to returning lost property to its owners. You may now report lost and found items 24/7 via the web and you may also view found items. To report lost items or search found items, click here.

Property that goes unclaimed for a period of 90 days is disposed of pursuant to TAMUS Policy 21.99.04.

The Lost and Found Department is located in Room 104 across the hall from the University Police Department in the Old Sub Building at 301 23rd Street, Canyon, Texas 79106. Lost and Found Hours for Summer Semester: Mondays and Tuesdays,  9:00 AM  to 5:00 PM, Wednesdays 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, closed Thursdays, Fridays, weekends and holidays. A lost and found assistant is on staff and will be happy to assist you in person during these hours.

Found items are held for a minimum 90 days, at which time they are disposed of in accordance with TAMUS Policy 21.99.04 and WTAMU Rule No. 21.99.04.W1. Persons claiming property must present valid government-issued identification or a Buff Gold Card.
